A few days ago mana-boa and I went to the 'cool jazz fest', featuring Kanye West. She got free tickets from a friend of hers, which is an undeniable advantage when you don't really know the artist you'd be paying to see.
Actually, I've been wanting to see him live for some time now, because he's the name on everybody's lips, and i kinda wondered if he's really all that.
Well, he is. I mean, the spot was really cool, which helps, and so do the amazing backup singers and the award winning dj (you should hear him spin, he's unbeliveble!), but still, the man has talent.
On one hand he's the typical hip-hop artist, coming on stage with the shades and the bling and that hole thing going on - not to mention the massive ego! But, on the other hand, he's a really good entertainner, with cool beats and smooth voice.
I had a lot of fun. Thumbs up for Mr. West.
