“Eh pah, afinal a vida continua!...”

Here's a description of my arrival in Lisbon, and everything since.
Ricardo (Clara’s boyfriend) works at the airport as ground staff, so it was a nice surprise when he met me just outside the plane. We went to pick up my stuff, and realised that my backpack was missing! It seems that the lady in the airport (also Iranian, by the way) made a mistake while writing the tag, which caused my backpack to follow me to London, but not to Lisbon.
I had a lot of valuable stuff inside, like my 150€ calculator, but what was really bothering me was the possibility of losing my make-up. I mean, besides the monetary and sentimental value of the compilation chosen to accompany me to Sweden, it took me years to make that collection, and some of the stuff is not even made anymore.
Anyway, my mother and my sister Clara were waiting for me. They both look great! Sara couldn’t come because she was working. We hugged and kissed a lot, and then came back home for a delicious home-made lunch (at last!). I asked my sister to drive her car back. She was quite reluctant, like ‘mmm.. already? Are you sure? You haven’t touched a wheel in 6 months… and besides you just got here, and haven’t slept in two days’…
Finally she accepted, and it was great. I was afraid that I would feel uncomfortable driving, but it came really natural… cool! :p
After lunch I wanted to take a siesta, ‘cause I was dying, but I ended up going to the beach with mana-boa. We took a lot of silly pictures; it was great fun!
After we had a family dinner, for which Ana and her daughter Cláudia were invited, but they are like family, so it goes without saying.
After dinner I was really desperate for some sleep, so as soon as I could I went to bed, and slept 12 hours in a row.
The day after was the football match. I watched with my sister Sara, and when we won we went for a car ride, honking at strangers and screaming as if being raped by a heard of mad Albanians. Actually, it is nothing out of the ordinary in situations like these. As a matter a fact, it’s pretty much a national hobby.
More good news followed: they called from the airport saying that they found my backpack, and the brought it home for me!
The night went on with a visit to Bairro Alto, and a long awaited return to Tokio, the night club. It was a great night! We had an incredible time, dancing to the sound of 80’s classics with great enthusiasm.
Today I started unpacking, and by the looks of it it’s gonna take a while…

Well, that’s about it,

hey hey

you forgot to say that you were driving in one of lisbon's busiest roads (traffic all the time!!) STILL ON SWEDISH MODE (aka respecting ridiculous things like speed limit, security distances, etc). It made me feel like i was on a TERROR movie, trucks honking, hand-made obsenities pointing through other cars' windows, huff...*

nico's website is super-cool. tell him that!
