“Mind the gap, please”

Well, as you know (or should know, anyway), I went to London on Monday the 12th of the current month.
I’ve been to London two or three times in the past, but Maika hasn’t. So, since in the original plan she was going to be my travel companion, we decided to start our trip there. Besides, it’s a well known fact that there is no such thing as going to London too many times.
Be as it may, I departed on Monday, after a great deal of sobbing in the previous days, and in T-Centralen in particular.
Life has funny things… as soon as the bus to Skavta departed, I felt immediately better. I started talking to the girl that was sitting next to me, and did it all the way to the airport. I also met a portuguese guy on the plane, and we chatted for the entire flight. I was so busy laughing that I didn't have time to be afraid to fly. After landing I took the bus to my cousin's house, in East Finchley. When I hoped on I saw the girl that I met on the bus to Stavsta. What are the odds of that?? It was a really good trip…

It was really nice meeting my cousin and her husband. They are really amazing people, and made me feel right at home. It was also pleasant entering an iranian house again. When I was young, my house looked like hers: persian carpets all over the floor, a big bowl with fruit on the living room table and elaborate tea sets of all different kinds and shapes.

The day after I arrived I went to see my father. We had lunch at an Arabic restaurant, near Harrods, and then took a walk in the park before going to the Victoria bus station, where he would catch the bus that would take him back to Cardiff. It was a nice day.
Later that night Filipe arrived from Stockholm. The next day we went site-seeing, at all the typical places in London, and we went for a ride on the giant wheel next to Big Ben. It was really interesting, although very expensive.

On the 15th Miguel Khan arrived from Portugal, and came to see me right away. We watched the football match together, along with Filipe and some friends of his, and after he offered me dinner in an excellent sushi place in convent garden.
The 16th was my final day in London. That morning Filipe found out that he wasn't taking the same plane to Dublin as me. Although he left for the airport immediately, he ended up missing his flight anyway. I stayed in the city a bit more. I walked Oxford Street up to Hide Park, and laid down on the grass writing postcards to my family and Catarina. After that I met Miguel at Leicester Square, and spent my last moments with him. He went to Macau two days later, and I don't think I’ll see him for at least one year, so it was really good to spend as much time with him as possible.

I arrived at the airport a bit late, and almost missed my flight, there I saw Filipe, who told me that he was now taking the same plane as me.
That pretty much sums up my adventures in London.
Next stop: Dublin!

Bem dito: a Londres nunca se vai em excesso! Espero a tua descrição de Dublin e depois o teu regresso tão ansiado (pelo menos por mim) a Lisboa! Mil beijinhos
